Dangerous Fence Alterations Reported anonymously at 10:42, Mon 10 January 2022 The fence on along the footpath from Burnham Way to Kent House Lane (opposite Millbrook Distribution & Spares) has been clad in tall corrugated sheeting which in high winds puts the fence structure under strain and threatens safety of any pedestrians using the footpath (i.e. the sheeting acts as a sail in the wind). The construction and footings for the fence is only engineered for a mesh fence that wind loads will easily pass through with little resistance. Last year the fence was badly damaged during winds, and was leaning into the footpath. It was repaired and sheeting was reduced. I might add that repairs appeared inadequate (scaffold poles and timber wedged into the footings to prop them up!!). However it now seems the landlord of the adjacent property has added more cladding to the fence, and also stacked a vehicle that hang over the boundary!! If the fence was to fall onto a pedestrian (i.e. quite likely during high wins), I am certain it could easily kill someone and should be investigated immediately before someone is seriously hurt.
