Rubbish and rats Reported anonymously at 17:18, Mon 16 May 2022 Since the council has removed the large waste bin for the flats at Cleave Avenue, the residents are required to leave their black bags and recycling waste on the landmark as shown on the map (between Cocksett Ave and Cleave Ave). Every week the waste bags will be torn open by crows/ foxes which lead to spillages of rubbish. Sometimes the strong winds blew the waste bags away onto the streets leaving a mess. Other times during collection, the rubbishes leak out of the bags and were left on the ground. This has caused mice around the area. I have seen big fat rats running around at the back of Cleave Avenue building. Today, I saw a huge rat feasting on the food waste left behind on the area marked on the map. I worry that if wastes are not managed properly and a proper large waste bin is not provided for residents to dump their rubbish, it might lead to infestation of pests! Please can this be sorted out as a matter or priority. Thank you.
