The tree is located alongside the pedestrian alleyway immediately next to 31 The Avenue. The tree is on the alleyway side of our boundary and its branches extend significantly over our driveway and parking area.

Reported via mobile in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 20:53, Wednesday 2 September 2026

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10040890.

I am requesting that the overhanging branches from this tree are inspected and pruned back as soon as possible.

The tree is situated alongside the alleyway next to our property at 31 The Avenue, and a significant amount of the canopy is now overhanging our driveway. This is resulting in a large amount of bird droppings, leaves and debris constantly falling onto our driveway and vehicle. As shown in the attached photographs, the problem is substantial and our car is regularly being covered in bird mess.

We have reported this issue previously and the branches were pruned back, which resolved the problem, however they have now grown out considerably again and are causing the same issue.

We are currently having to have our vehicle cleaned on an almost weekly basis. With the current hosepipe restrictions, we cannot simply wash the car down at home, meaning we are having to pay for frequent professional car washes, which is becoming increasingly expensive.

Please could the council arrange for the tree to be inspected and for the branches that extend over our driveway/property to be cut back to the boundary as a priority. We would really appreciate this being dealt with as soon as possible, particularly as this is a recurring issue that has previously required council action.
