Parking on both sides of Albemarle Road between junction with Westgate Road and Meadway.
Reported in the Road defect category anonymously at 16:07, Thu 18 January 2018
Sent to Bromley Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1187797.
In the last 6 months, the parking of cars and vans on both sides of the road has becoming hazardous. The number of vehicles parked make it difficult for vehicles to pass along this section of Albemarle Road, even when drivers, who have the decency, take turns to keep traffic moving. Cyclists use this road, and their safety is compromised too. It is also having an impact on the flow of traffic that crosses Albemarle from the south side of Westgate Road, across and over the notoriously dangerous and congested Westgate Road Bridge. It is the north side of Albemarle Road that has been affected by this parking. A double yellow line on the north side, from the junction of Westgate Rd and Albemarle Rd, along as far as past Meadway would allow safe flow of traffic.

This report has been referred to our Traffic Management Team who are responsible for the way traffic is managed on Bromley's roads; including, but not limited to, implementing new road markings and signage in relation to road safety and parking; walking and cycling improvements, including identifying locations for new cycle racks and installing Vehicle Activated speed signs - however, please note that responsibility for enforcing speed limits rests with the Police.
Where requests are made for changes, our Traffic Management Team will consider all requests but often there is a need for a full investigation, planning and consultation within the local area particularly around proposed new traffic schemes, and any considerations must be balanced with borough-wide priorities. This report is now closed on FixMyStreet and our Traffic Management Team will consider this matter.State changed to: Internal referral
