Broken play equipment
Reported in the Parks and Greenspace category anonymously at 15:05, Fri 11 January 2019
Sent to Bromley Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1510125.
I reported broken play equipment back in September and had a follow up email to say it would be fixed in November. I met with the head of parks maintenance but still nothing has been fixed. 1. Loose bar on tall climbing frame 2. Broken ( now taken off by one of your team) rope from hoops 3. End of rope swing rubber came off leaving sharp metal. I have taped it back on. 4. Missing bolts in the roundabout. I have also noted the metal rope coverings are fraying and I have taped over them. These are all safeguarding issues. This is a busy playground used by both the school and the public.

There are a couple of outstanding issues. The rope swing rubber hasn't been put back on and is still as I left it. I also don't think anything has been done to the frayed rope on any of the play equipment. A new issue is the padlock on the main pedestrian gate is very hard to get the key in and difficult to unlock. I suggest this needs replacing.

This is to confirm this has already been highlighted during our routine Play Inspection reporting and a remedy is underway. We are also currently carrying out our Annual Parks Equipment Inspection Survey for all Parks across LB Bromley and an update will be provided shortly.

The black heated treated plastic put over the play equipment ropes is coming undone. I have taped over them.
