Street cleaning on odd numbered side of Eden way has not been carried out
Reported in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 08:46, Thu 14 February 2019
Sent to Bromley Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1543515.
Once again only the even numbered side of Eden way has been cleaned by the street cleansing team. The team conscientiously sweep the gutters and pavements on the even numbered side but make no attempt to repeat the process on the odd numbered side. I have reported this situation before.

I don't understand how this issue has been resolved. The gutters adjacent to my house remain clogged with leaves and have been since before Christmas. Litter remains on the pavement by the BT box. The only way to deal with the gutters in particular is for the cleaning team to arrive at 07.00 and clean them before vehicles start parking at approximately 07.15.

The carriageway and footways have been inspected and our Street Cleansing contractor will be asked to return to cleanse where possible the remaining autumn tree detritus in the kerbsides. The footway and channel will also be litter picked where necessary.

Yet again the street cleaning team arrived in Eden way this morning and started work on the even numbered side of the road. When they arrived at 6.45 both sides of the road were completely free of parked cars. They started the cleaning process to the even numbered side of the road. The time is now 7.15 and when they return to deal with the odd numbered side of the road they will find cars have parked and it will be impossible for the team to clean the gutters and drain covers properly. Is it not possible for them to clean the odd numbered side of the road first?

The work carried out on the Thursday 14th March was part of a monthly deep clean where the contractor is tasked to send operatives to clear litter and detritus from the kerbside channels.
Your feedback concerning the odd numbered side of the street will be passed on to their Supervisor for their next scheduled visit.
