Annually, there are three applications of weed spray, typically applied from spring through to early autumn on paved highways (subject to appropriate weather conditions). Once sprayed 'dieback' should occur within seven to ten days under normal conditions before the residue is removed through routine scheduled street cleaning activities.

Weed spraying was carried out on the 30th September and once weeds have died back they are cleared by Veolia when carrying out the scheduled footway cleansing each Friday.
Veolia will attend to remove those street weeds that show sufficient die back.
