Road drain is blocked, causing minor flooding
Reported in the Road and Pavement Issues category anonymously at 15:01, Sat 2 November 2019
Sent to Bromley Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1828965.
This road drain always gets blocked, and if we had an excessive downpour, the resulting flooding could cause damage to adjacent properties. Also, difficult to get to cars parked in the street as the water sometimes can surround vehicles.

Drain still blocked, concerned because of recent flood warnings from environmental agency.

Pavement is now almost impassable due to standing water. Today is worse. There is a safety concern especially as the flooding is outside a nursery.

My reports of this issue in May and September of this year have been closed as duplicates. Fair enough as I have now found this one. So the problem was reported in November 2019 and nothing has happened? Please advise....

Our drainage contractor has attended but was only able to clear one drain next to 35 Addington Road. The drain opposite (next to 33) has not been cleared as the grate was unable to be removed. This has now been referred to our Highways Department for works to remove / loosen the drain grate to facilitate cleaning.

The contractor is aware I hope that the drain in question is in Lennard Avenue, not Addington Road? See picture today of what is now a long running problem that needs resolution...
