Replacement of block paving with 'cold roll' tar
Reported in the Road and Pavement Issues category anonymously at 21:10, Thu 7 November 2019
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1836979.
Shortly after the very expensive completion of the remodelling of pavements in Beckenham High Street SGN carried out some work outside 63 High Street Beckenham. Rather than replacing the block paving that the workers removed, these were left stacked and the holes repaired with cold roll tar. The blocks were removed from the site a number of weeks later.Surely utility services should replace like with like particularly after such a comprehensive project on the High Street. The result is unsightly and doesn't reflect well on the improvements.

Apologies for the delay in rectifying this issue, we are waiting for an improvement in the weather to enable the resin reinstatement to be carried out.

To confirm the blocks in the footway have been replaced. Unfortunately due to COVID19 planned works in Bromley have been put on hold for the time being, when work is able to start again the council will replace the resin around the tree and carry out the carriageway repairs.
