Tree outside 19 Lime Tree Walk and whole street
Reported in the Public Trees category anonymously at 16:46, Thu 6 February 2020
Sent to Bromley Council 6 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1983196.
Large, uncared for tree outside no 19. Unpruned for many years, has a pronounced lean towards housing. Constantly shedding small branches which has escalated to very large branches damaging cars on driveways. Public pavement slabs have now lifted and cracked. The sloping access to our driveway has tilted by about 4cm. The asphalt part of the pavement very close to the water meter access and underground pipes/drains has cracked badly again due to tree roots (first repaired a few years ago) and a 1 square foot section of asphalt has broken away completely. The condition of the pavement and the very large unpruned branches continue to pose a threat to adults, children and property. In the summer the unpruned status of the trees significantly affects the light in ours and other properties. This is happening to many other trees in the road. Although we like our trees, they desperately need significant pruning before serious damage is caused to people and property. We would appreciate action and answers to these queries as soon as possible. Thank you.
