Drains need flushing / clearing
Reported in the Street Cleansing category by Suzanna Argenio-Haines at 21:08, Sun 19 July 2020
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2207449.
Please can you clean the drains outside number 23 and 25 Croft Avenue. They are opposite Ash Grove, when it rains heavily, water comes down the hill from Ash Grove, coupled with the surface water on Croft Avenue, the road and pathway outside these houses flood. In the drain outside number 25, the water is high, there is nothing except litter/rubbish in the drain outside number 23. Number 25 flooded in June. Please can these drains be flushed / cleared to attempt to stop this? Thank you

Both kerbside gullies have been inspected today and they no internal cleansing is warranted at this time as each of the outlets are clear of obstruction.
The gully pot is designed to capture dirt and debris from the street within its chamber and is cleaned out every two years. Croft Avenue drains will be cleansed as scheduled in 2021/22.
