Hoarding outside Edinburgh Wool Shop
Reported via iOS in the Road and Pavement Issues category by Trevor Wood at 19:56, Wed 12 August 2020
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2242650.
A hoarding has gone up outside the Edinburgh Wool Shop which stretches over the pavement. This has resulted in the bus stop now being closed. This is very inconvenient especially to the elderly who use this bus stop frequently. Can the hoarding be removed so that the bus stop can reopen (or a temporary bus stop put in along the road)?

This issue continues. Absolutely nothing has been done. There is adequate room for buses to stop but the bus stop is closed. The hoarding which is the cause of the problem is still there. This is causing many elderly people great difficulty as the next bus stop is a long way away.

A number of weeks have have elapsed and the hoarding is still there blocking the pavement (social distancing is not possible) and meaning that the bus stop is closed. When will LBB do something about this?

Bromley have liaised with the responsible party who have taken steps and adjusted the hoarding from their original position to increase the space on the footway. Bromley Council have inspected and are happy with the adjustment and will liaise with TfL over the bus stop. The hoarding is required to protect the development site.
State changed to: No further action

If LBB is happy with this please explain to my elderly mother why she cannot catch a bus at the bus stop which has closed as a result of the hoarding which covers over half the pavement. A temporary bus stop needs to be put in.
