Tree has grown to alarming proportions and could be a hazard to property if blown over in high winds

Reported in the Public Trees category by John Oxbrough at 15:06, Tuesday 25 August 2020

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The tree is adjacent to the 314 Bus StopˋChilham Way´on Mounthurst Road. The tree has grown alarmingly and given the high winds we are experiencing I feel that it now poses a significant hazard to property and traffic. Please could it be either removed or pruned. I am aware of the enormous value of trees generally and to the local environment.

  • The cosmetic pruning at the base of the tree does not address the original problem. The tree is too tall and could come down in high winds presenting a hazard to traffic and property.
