We have notified the responsible party of their duties and responsibilities and informed them that further enforcement action may be taken if the issue is not resolved. For overhanging vegetation reports please allow 28 days for the responsible party to arrange action before notifying us of any continued obstruction.

A small amount of the overhang has been cut but the hedge still intrudes into the footpath. Needs to be followed up.

Thank you for your update comments, a further highway inspection was conducted on 29th September 2020 with regards to this. While we appreciate your concerns, such a case would fall below our levels of intervention and no further action will be taken at this stage, we would now deem this matter closed and would welcome any additional ‘separate’ reports you wish to raise. You state 'such a case would fall below our levels of intervention'. Could you please explain how this conclusion has been reached and who makes the decision not to deal with a clear obstruction contrary to the law. I assume that to make such a decision there must be written Bromley council policy somewhere. Could you please let me know where I can access this policy and read it for myself.
