Extremely busy pavements andno speed limit
Reported in the Road and Pavement Issues category anonymously at 20:52, Tue 8 September 2020
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2285284.
There are 3 schools in the area, with various drop off pick up times. The roads are busy and drivers are careless , going on such high speed as if there is no tomorrow. Parents queue to drop the children off and pavements are extremely busy. One simple accident can result in severe injury to parebts/children . Can you please reconsider introducing speed limit and zebra crossing. They surely do not cost that much...

This report has been referred to our Traffic Management Team who are responsible for the way traffic is managed on Bromley's roads; including, but not limited to, implementing new road markings and signage in relation to road safety and parking; walking and cycling improvements, including identifying locations for new cycle racks and installing Vehicle Activated speed signs - however, please note that responsibility for enforcing speed limits rests with the Police.
Where requests are made for changes, our Traffic Management Team will consider all requests but often there is a need for a full investigation, planning and consultation within the local area particularly around proposed new traffic schemes, and any considerations must be balanced with borough-wide priorities.
