Newly planted trees not secured to posts
Reported via Android in the Public Trees category anonymously at 17:47, Sun 2 May 2021
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2696807.
See photo. 8 of these trees went in a couple of weeks ago. All have 2 stakes installed next to them so they can be fastened to the tree to support it. But none of the trees have been secured in this way and a few are no longer upright. The one pictured is worse affected. Are there not care plans in place for newly planted trees?

There's an old saying... a stitch in time saves nine. See new photo. This is a perfect example of failing to follow that advice. Following the recent windy weather, one tree is now out the ground completely and of the 8 that were planted, I'd say only two are positioned as they should be. The other 6 have been blown over onto angles and this one is laying on the ground.
Who carried out this work? How have they been allowed to leave it unfinished like this? What did the 8 trees cost to buy and plant? They have installed posts for securing the trees but haven't secured them!

If I were you I’d pick it up and place back in hole yourself , we had one like that here, but the contractors came and just threw it away, instead of replanting it, they take the easy option, I wish I had acted here rather than wait for the contractor crew

Please can the council take note that all these trees can be saved by replanting and attaching to the stakes provided, DO NOT let your contractors remove them as I have seen done already today, I want to see that all these are replanted properly as each tree is around £150+

Hello original reporter, I’d be interested to know if the trees were replanted and restated or just removed by the contractors?
