Light on pedestrian footbridge open railway line smashed and is not working

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The first of the street lights that fitted to the pedestrian footbridge over the railway line next to Crofton Lane has been smashed by vandals and is no longer working. The glass is broken and could be sharp to anyone who touches it and the bulb is in easy reach of anyone who could unscrew it and potentially touch light terminals. Submitted for your information.

  • Apologies for the delay, we are currently waiting for the delivery of materials to enable us to fix the problem. These are expected to be delivered week commencing 28th September 2021.

  • The material supplier has had some delays causing the delivery date to be pushed back to w/c 11th October. As soon as the materials are in our possession we will undertake the works immediately. Apologies for the delay.

  • 2 lights not working on this bridge - the one closest to the roundabout, and the one in the middle.
