Always block when raining
Reported via desktop in the Road and Pavement Issues category anonymously at 16:07, Saturday 19 June 2021
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
This has been reported last year, but was told it is just leaves. As you can see, this part of road is significally lower tha others, whenever it is raining, it is blocked, so many passing by children from highfield would walk on this pavement, and whenever a car passing by ,will cause lots of water splashing on children, coucil need to work on this, to increase the height,so water wont build up
Thank you for your report, this is now being investigated. Information on our services and the timeframes we aim to respond in can be found: http://www.bromley.gov.uk/ fixservices

Thank you for your update. Our drainage contractor has attended on Monday to clean and jet the gully whilst checking the connection. LBB will await their findings and carry forward and remedial repairs required for the connection to the main public surface water sewer. If there is no fault detected, then the issue is caused by the camber in the road. Options to remedy the situation in this regard will be explored and furthered by our Highways Department upon referral. LBB - Neighbourhood Management. 13/10/12

Thanks so much for your hardwork, it is indeed caused by the camber in the road! The rain will be blocked by leaves, so even it is cleaned, the leaves will enventually cover the surface, thanks for your finding, and looking forwards to future updates, really appreciated it!
