Still waiting for vegetation cut back.

IDVERDE are neglecting their responsibilities. Neglecting to cut all grass areas!!! Virtually every grass area that used to be maintained is being ignored- even the meadowland paths are overgrown. Trees left un-pruned. All paths in the woods are rutted and need roadstone in-fill. Why?? Cost saving is one thing - defrauding the Council and residents cannot be tolerated. When is their contract due for renewal? Let’s hope it’s awarded to a different company who understand the commercial obligations of doing what they are paid to do. I shall be at the next residents meeting to embarrass the councillors for presiding over such a waste of our taxes!

What tree has been inspected? Who said anything about a tree?? The footpath from the Community centre all the way up Broadwater Gardens is partially blocked by overgrowing hedging. Why can this not be cut back timeously to clear the pavement which is partially blocked for the old or people with prams or children. Please reread my report of 29 June, 5 weeks ago, and still no action despite your promise, AGAIN.

Still waiting for confirmation that blocked pavement with overgrowing foliage from Community centre all the way up to Hale Close will be attended to. Annual cutback of hedging still required, as previously noted. 6 weeks since first reported, no nesting birds now!

I think you will find that you, the council , are responsible for this one. The same seems to happen every year which does not speak well for your record keeping. Check with Angela your IDVerde park ranger who has the paperwork for Darrick Wood and is aware of the situation. It is not Kenistons responsibility! I must add that it is rather disappointing that it has taken you since the 29 June to tell me this!!

Ownership is not clear and further investigation has been undertaken through site visits, land registry details and adoption plans for the location. We will continue to work to resolve the situation and clarify where responsibility rests for this issue.

It has been established that the problem vegetation originally described, above, is not the responsibility of LBB to maintain. Though it may not appear to be the case visually, the woody area a few metres inward of the public footway rear boundary line along this stretch is, in fact, privately owned and LBB has made contact with the responsible party in order to resolve this matter as per the provisions of relevant legislation under the Highways Act 1980.
