Head height nettles/brambles, path near totally obstructed
Reported via mobile in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 07:50, Mon 2 August 2021
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2907168.
This footpath, that runs around a private property and opens out onto shire lane, opposite Farthing Lane, is part of the London loop. I walk it several times a week, along with many other walkers and joggers. However, it is near impassable now, which is forcing people to walk along shire lane itself. This is an extremely narrow and winding road but, despite this, vehicles charge down it, often at speeds in excess of 50mph. Walking along it is EXTREMELY dangerous. The footpath to the Wilberforce oak was cleared by contractors last week. I spoke to them, but they said the footpath I am reporting was not included in their maintenance list, despite a reply from yourselves, on the 5th July I believe, stating that it was to be included. Can the situation please be addressed ASAP, preferably before someone forced to walk along shire lane, gets hit/killed by a vehicle.
