Contractors blocking the footpath again

Reported via desktop in the Highway Enforcement category anonymously at 16:41, Monday 11 October 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

At 89 South Eden Park Toad contractors are again using the footpath and verge as a construction site. Building materials and equipment all over the verge making it impossible to pass safely. You installed some wooden posts the last time this happened to p[event access to the verge. I suspect that these will disappear soon.

  • They are now cutting up paving slabs on the footpath using an angle grinder. Very dangerous. Why have you not visited and stopped this?

  • The contractors left late on Thursday after four days of dirt, dust and residents being unable to walk down the public footpath. I realise your strategy now. Ignore the problem and the residents concerns long enough and it may well go away and you won't have to do anything. Appalling service.

  • More bags of building material dumped all over the verge again on Sunday

  • Since this 'work' was completed there have been two illegal advertising signs on the verge outside this property. I assume that you have not had them removed because you have not bothered to come and look at the issue. When are we going to see some positive action?
