Harvington Estate Park - Continual litter problem

Reported via mobile in the Parks and Greenspace category anonymously at 17:39, Monday 11 October 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

Hello. Following my report on August 15th 2021 concerning the litter permeating Harvington Estate Park, it appears there is still a litter issue. This morning I counted over 70 pieces of litter, specifically at the southern part: around the abandoned pavilion, in the woodland to the east and south of the pavilion, in the woodland next to the allotments; in the woodland bordering residential gardens to the north of Oakfield Gardens and Barts Close. There is a lot of litter caught in undergrowth and within the tree lines around the perimeter.

It would appear that there is no programme in place to keep the park free of litter (cans, bottles, fast food wrappings, PPE, dog poo bags, carrier bags etc) to an acceptable standard, it’s pretty depressing to continually see the park in such an uncared for state.

The photos show a selection of the litter seen, I have also indicated the areas that need some thorough attention.

As this seems to be a continual uphill battle I’m also going to log a complaint and take this further. It’s just not acceptable.
