Security padlock on Park gates seized

Reported via desktop in the Parks and Greenspace category anonymously at 14:37, Tuesday 12 October 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

One of two LBB padlocks securing Willett Recreation Ground vehicle gates in Towncourt Crescent Petts Wood is seized. Gates cannot be secured properly and hence vehicles can have unrestricted access to grass. Padlock is new one ( less that 6 m old) and cannot be unlocked/opened. It is secured on a drop rod and WILL NEED TO BE CUT OFF before new padlock can be used. Reported by Friends of Willett Recreation Ground.

  • Thanks but sorry job not done...seized padlock still on drop rod and has not been cut off. New padlock left on site but of no use until old cut off. So gates still insecure. Many thanks

  • I think contractor only did part of the job and then realised they had to remove padlock. In meantime I complained again but they returned and completed job. Anyway it is complete so all is well. Thanks
