Drug dealing five times this week on Montana Gardens!

Reported via mobile in the Highway Enforcement category anonymously at 16:31, Sat 16 October 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3066261.

I have witnessed drug dealing taking place within view of my property FIVE TIMES this week! Monday evening and Tuesday night the pictured motorbike was dealing, Wednesday an Eastern European male from the ground floor of block no 64-78 Montana Gardens was dealing with the pictured van. Thursday afternoon the grey haired male from the same block opposite my was dealing with a grey Toyota 4&4 and now today the friend of number 61 was again getting out of a VW estate which has been reported for drug dealing before. All INCIDENTS have been photographed and reported to the police this week.

Please can we finally have some CCTV cameras and a police patrol for this street! I will be taking this further with my local councillor as I believe public safety is at risk! Please do not ignore this report and press 'no further action' as that is an utter disgrace to tax paying residents who do not have a drug habit.

  • We need double yellow lines at the entrance of Montana Gardens to stop these unwanted elements parking there after 5 pm and doing the dirty work. There ae children in this private residential close and cars driving in just top park and conduct these nefarious acts should be stopped completely. We the residents of Montana Gardens would welcome double yellow lines.

  • This report has been referred to our Traffic Management Team who are responsible for the way traffic is managed on Bromley's roads; including, but not limited to, implementing new road markings and signage in relation to road safety and parking; walking and cycling improvements, including identifying locations for new cycle racks and installing Vehicle Activated speed signs - however, please note that responsibility for enforcing speed limits rests with the Police.

Where requests are made for changes, our Traffic Management Team will consider all requests but often there is a need for a full investigation, planning and consultation within the local area particularly around proposed new traffic schemes, and any considerations must be balanced with borough-wide priorities. This report is now closed on FixMyStreet and our Traffic Management Team will consider this matter.

  • I think it is going to take more than just double yellow lines to stop the drug dealing which has become more frequent. In fact the same van has turned up again this evening (Monday) at 5.30pm to meet with the male from the ground floor of the block numbered 64-78.
