Blocked road drainage

Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 14:42, Thursday 21 October 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The rainwater drain where indicated is completely blocked. Heavy rain causes the street to flood, which causes a back up of water into the sewer system which then exits by my property causing distressing flooding and pollution concerns. This issue has been reported a number of times by different people - it is never resolved but the issues reported here seem to be closed.

  • Update : Yesterday I noticed a team from TIP Tanker Services with a large vehicle and watched them clean 3 of the street drains around the area, including the one I reported previously. Following some comparatively rather mild rainfall this morning the drain has become completely blocked again - see attached photo which shows the drain full and leaking onto the road. There appears to be a fundamental problem with the drainage around the area.
