Road signs totally obscured

Reported via desktop in the Street Lighting and Road Signs category anonymously at 09:57, Sun 31 October 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The illuminated double facing give way/no entry signs on BOTH sides (turn left & turn right) at the end of the one way section of Goodmead Road at Perry Hall Road are totally obscured by overhanging trees. Adjacent directional signs and street lights are also obscured by the large conifers growing in the side garden of 55 Perry Hall Road and overhanging the road and the footpath at the junction with Goodmead Road.

  • Some limited pruning has taken place to the side of 55 Perry Hall Road but the illuminated give way sign is still not clearly visible from a distance. Also the thick evergreen tree growth which overhangs the pavement and part of the carriageway and surrounds the street light is still totally shading a large area at the junction reducing the ability of drivers to see the signage or any pedestrians who are trying to cross the road.

Nothing visible has been done on the opposite corner to address the problem.
