Broken style on designated public footpath - dangerous to use
Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category by Chris Mackenzie at 10:03, Sun 31 October 2021
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3094241.
This style used to be used by lots of ramblers and dog walkers but is now broken and very unsafe. I believe the landowners live in Leicestershire so there is no likelihood of it being mended by them. It would be great if it were fixed and the adjacent hedging pruned. The footpath sign is also no longer visible.

The damaged stile has been removed (there is now a large gap in the hedge) and has been dumped inside the field on the left. I hope that a new stile is about to be fitted and that the old one will be disposed of properly. Promising so far and looking forward to the completed job.

Still open, via questionnaire -
Many thanks for your additional comments. LBB has cut back the OHV to allow better access to FP-287. No stile was located at the time of the cut back, Bromley Council are not responsible for stiles, stiles are the responsibility of the landowner and any maintenance and repair is with the landowner. This enquiry will now be closed and no further action required. Kind regards, JPR - 29/11/2021
