The exact location is at the end of the Thornet wood road, before the entrance to the car parking at the Jubilee park.

It would be helpful if a sign could be put up advising vehicles not to attempt to access Thornet Wood car park due to the obstruction of the burnt out car. I have had many complaints from motorists who have driven up there and then had to reverse back as they cannot turn round. The tarmac beneath the burnt out vehicle has been badly damaged and will require resurfacing when the vehicle has been removed.

Whilst the burnt-out car has now been removed, thank you, the state in which the surface of the tarmac has been left is truly appalling. There is broken glass, bits of metal and all sorts of other debris, most of which has become welded to the road surface due to the intensity of the heat. This is extremely dangerous for pedestrians, dogs, vehicles and bicycles, especially towards the evening when the light fades. No signage has been left to caution people as to the danger it poses which could result in injury or accident. I did state in my initial report that there was a problem with the road surface beneath but this aspect of my message has been ignored. It needs warning signage immediately and to be dealt with as soon as possible after that.

Bromley council, why is it taking so long to sort out this issue?! What are we paying our taxes for?? Friday morning mess on the road, health and safety hazard for the 6th day running!! Small children and cyclists safety is of no concern clearly....((

Thank you for the report and further updates. Our street cleansing provider attended earlier this morning to remove all the debris they could. As you note the surface is damaged and have alerted colleagues. Many thanks.
