Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3137519.
In accordance with your timetable the carriageway on north Copers Cope Road should have been swept on Saturday 20 November. This did not happen. When are you going to do it?

Thank you for your enquiry. Your comments have been passed onto to our contractor for their attention. Our 12-week leafing programme is now in operation and where a street has been included on this programme, it will receive additional visits from extra crews to try and remove excess leaf fall. However, please be aware that considering both the number of roads in the borough and the volume of falling leaves, that the programme aims to clear the bulk of all the leaves during any one visit, and it is not intended as a 'clear all' service. There will always be a degree of leaves left behind as leaf fall during the programme is constant, but many road will have 4-5 visits during the programme. This way it is hoped that we are able to attend as many roads as possible during the season, and not have areas that have to wait several weeks for a crew to attend. This report is now closed on FixMyStreet and the road will be attended to on its next visit.

Today, Tuesday 30 November, Veolia has come and cleared the street/carriageway, grass verges and pavements along all of Copers Cope Road. This is after we asked our local Councillors to intervene as the above response, about the theoretical actions of Bromley/Veolia, did not address the initial posting which was that the normal monthly road sweeping had not taken place. We are delighted that our street is now clean of leaves but it would be better if Veolia carried out its contractual tasks properly in the first place!
