Sun bleached No entry sign and nearby leaning sign pole, Anerley Hill jct Church Rd

Reported via desktop in the Street Lighting and Road Signs category anonymously at 23:39, Mon 22 November 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The southern No Entry round red sign is very faded - please replace to be compatible with Street Signs and Regulations and to assist at this busy and complex junction (2-ways, 1-way and No entry arms with differing road widths). Also in the photo background is an empty redundant street sign pole that is leaning on the Crystal Palace Park side of Anerley Hill - please mend or remove. Thank you.

  • We have investigated this report and the location is outside of the borough boundary. We have therefore referred the report to Croydon Council.

  • Surprised this is stated as Croydon ... Attached new map showing borough boundary, with faded No Entry sign in Bromley. Map screen shot from Bromley online Public Rights of Way borough map.

  • Thank you for using fms.

We have removed the post that you have mentioned on Anerley Hill, however the column and signage are not LBB assets, they are owned and maintained by Croydon , as are all the columns on Church Road.

  • Thank You for your response. The boundary line and boundary agreement between council's can sometimes differ to what a map may say in this case London Borough of Croydon maintain everything on Church Road and the sign in question is on a London Borough of Croydon lamp column with this in mind the enquiry should be directed to them as they are the asset owner.
