Wooded Area By the Tesco Car Park

Reported via desktop in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 12:08, Wed 24 November 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

This is becoming a dumping area. The pile of clothes rececently reported has now been removed but the job has not been completed. What about all the bottles, cans, tins, bags, food containers, food wrappers and sundry packaging that remain. If this is Tesco's responsibilty to oversee and clear then please LB Bromley make sure that they do. If it is the responsibilty of the LB of Bromley the please attend to it and clear and cleanse the area. Elmers End, at the perimeter of the borough is becoming forgotten and neglected. This particular problem attracts vermin which is not at all pleasant for shoppers, commuters or local residents alike. Please, LB Bromley, attend to this issue as a matter of some urgency.

  • Thank you for your report. This stretch of shrubbery is an extension of the land which is owned by the Tesco car park. The wooden barrier fence and walled off section along the public highway is not LBB maintained. Tesco has been contacted with regard to this and we will expect to see a response in terms of litter picking and removal in due course. Any further concerns with a harbourage of pests can be reported to envhts@bromley.gov.uk. Kind regards. LBB N05 19/1/22
