Chaos! do you not realise there is a school here!
Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 09:17, Fri 26 November 2021
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3144672.
Our business is being deeply affected. we cannot get access to the building lorries cant deliver goods because of the traffic - please remove the bollards at the front of our shop to allow our workman to load the vehicles. we (shop owners) had to block the road yesterday to allow our truck from Belgium to deliver! we were given no warning of this - a letter the day they started and no way did we ever believe this would go on so long and be so disruptive its completely flattened our business on what should be the busiest time of the year! more over after this morning when the road was closed again for removal of debris from the digging - at peak traffic with school kids on the pavement - surely this should have been done at first light or at night to reduce the risk?

See attached image of chaos caused on Oakfield road following complaint above. Customers cannot park. Delivery lorries cannot gain access to our loading bay. Cars are mounting the path. All of this is next to a busy primary school on a main road.

Thank you for your enquiry and additional comments.
These are urgent, unplanned UK Power Networks (UKPN) works and may be in place for some time, depending on the scope of the repair needed.
UKPN have changed their traffic management to three way traffic signals incorporating the High Street too. There are also expected repair works needed within the High Street too.
The Council will speak with UKPN and request all their spoil collections are completed out of hours at this location.
