Barriers left lying in road

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

There are two sets of barriers that have now fallen over and lying across the road which is dangerous for traffic. They are on both sides of Oldfield Road between Blackbrook Lane and Southwood Close

  • Why don't you replace the drain covers and remove the barriers they would be less of a danger to cars then? The barriers have been there for over 2 weeks now, how long are they going to be there for?

  • This has been "fixed" in as much as somebody has stood them back up again, they are still encroaching into the road and will likely either be knocked down by a car or fall over again when the wind blows again. Replace the drain covers instead and remove the dangerous barrier?

  • Bromley are working to replace the grates as quickly as possible but the barriers will need to remain in situ to safeguard the hazard until such time. Unfortunately, recently there have been multiple occurrences of grates being stolen and our contractors are working to obtain further stock of replacement covers.
