Leaves amassing and blowing into neighbours' gardens

Reported via desktop in the Parks and Greenspace category by Tony Sullivan at 12:31, Wed 1 December 2021

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

Hi, It was very good to see the machines collecting leaves on the other side of the park yesterday and this morning. However, the prevailing winds do blow a huge amount of leaves to this corner of the park. Please can you be a good neighbour as you have been in previous years and come and clean up these leaves as they are blowing into the residents' gardens in Avalon Road and Craven Road? Many thanks.

  • Hi, Thank you for taking action on this issue. I was pleased to see your contractors clearing leaves in the park yesterday. Unfortunately, they only cleared the leaves at the back of the properties on Avalon Road but did not come round and clear the leaves at the back of Craven Road (see photos) and in the entrance path to the Park. When these dry they will blow into your neighbours' gardens causing us problems. If it is possible for these leaves to be cleared I would be very grateful. Many thanks.

  • Hi, Thank you for the update. Unfortunately I have to report that this item has not been fixed. I have just checked and the leaves are still there as reported before, minus all of those that have blown into the neighbours' gardens! They are at the back of numbers 12 & 14 Craven Road and in the path leading to Avalon Road. Kind Regards.

  • Hi, Thank you very much for sending the team along this morning to clear the leaves. They did a good job, taking away 2 trucks full of leaves. I and the neighbours are very grateful for your help and cooperation in this matter which will make our lives a lot easier.
