Good day, Thank you for your additional comments. This Bookcase cannot be removed as it is attached with the electrical mains from one of the houses. This report has been passed to the enforcement officer to contact the owner of the bookcase to remove it from the grass verge. Regards,

This is not fly tipping. This is a community spirited person who has provided something for the community at his own time and expense. It is a well built, well maintained cabinet housing books that can be exchanged by anyone passing. It is not obstructing any footpath and is not an eyesore. Please for the community, & the spirit it was put there can you please leave it.

Many people stop by to take or leave a book. It is an amazing idea that brings the community together. It looks good and serves a great purpose. Definitely not an obstruction. It is placed thoughfully out of the way.
Can Bromley Council please reconsider their position. The neighbourhood has gained something good, it would be a shame to lose it.

What utter nonsense, this does not cause an obstruction to the public pathway at all and is an excellent example of community spirit. Surely you have more pressing and genuine cases to investigate?! The complainant clearly does not understand the description of fly tipping!

This is not fly tipping! It was built on purpose to allow local people to exchange books. Such a nice initiative! People are actually using it (read the comments on Nextdoor). Don’t remove it but support!
