Sign damaged on A21
Reported via mobile in the Street Lighting and Road Signs category anonymously at 13:05, Tue 28 December 2021
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
This report relates to the green direction sign on the A21 Sevenoaks Rd, eastbound towards Hewitts Roundabout and the M25 spur and just before the turn right onto London Rd. The sign is damaged and needs repairing (see photos). I have previously reported to TFL as this is a Red Route but they claim it’s the responsibility of the local Borough (LBB). Please see screen-grab to this effect. Please can you arrange for this to be repaired ASAP as this has been like this for over a year.

We have investigated this report and found it to be the responsibility of Transport for London (TfL). We have therefore referred the report to TfL. Future reports can be made directly to TfL via: https://tfl.gov.uk/ help-and-contact/ contact-us-about-streets-and-other-road-issues

Morning. I have reported this to TFL numerous times, nothing is done. I actually managed to speak to someone at TFL on Tuesday (contact centre) who said they would look into it again but believed it was LBB’s responsibility to repair. It feels like I’ve entered some Kafkaesque circle of denial where no one takes responsibility and nothing ever, ever gets done. Please can I ask the Council to get in touch with TFL and knock some heads to get this repaired. This may not be your responsibility, but as individuals who can perhaps assert some authority on this issue, please can you help get this fixed. Thanks.

Bromley have referred this issue to TfL again. As signage on the A21 Transport for London Red Route this is the responsibly of TfL and Bromley will continue to chase with them until the sign is repaired.

TfL have confirmed the sign is theirs and we have been informed that works have been raised by them to repair. We do not have a timeframe of these works.
