Thank you for your enquiry. We can confirm that we have checked this location with our contractor and are currently looking into using an alternative material should last longer. Any repairs at this location aren't likely to take place until late February/ early March however the council continue to monitor the situation to make sure it is safe for pedestrians.

More and/or larger holes in 'Bowie Lightning Flash' as at 29.1.22. It would appear the coloured surface is only about 1cm thick, in a busy pedestrian area and maybe also with beer barrel deliveries etc. If you wish to continue with this novelty, may I suggest materials which are deeper eg 3 inches, and more robust than this thin coloured tarmac surfacing. This might be a photo opportunity, but not a great image in this state.
