Poor visibility turning right out of the laneway
Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 09:03, Tue 18 January 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3248553.
I am requesting double yellow lines be placed on the side of the laneway by 469 Upper Elmers End Rd. as I drive out of the laneway I cannot see the traffic coming on the right hand side. If there is a large car/van or like this morning iced up car windows I need to slowly creep the nose of my car out until it is halfway on the road before I am able to see and just hope that the cars can see me. If there was a gap beside the laneway on the right as I am driving out it would make it much safer and easier to see the cars.

This report has been referred to our Traffic Management Team who are responsible for the way traffic is managed on Bromley's roads; including, but not limited to, implementing new road markings and signage in relation to road safety and parking; walking and cycling improvements, including identifying locations for new cycle racks and installing Vehicle Activated speed signs - however, please note that responsibility for enforcing speed limits rests with the Police.
Where requests are made for changes, our Traffic Management Team will consider all requests but often there is a need for a full investigation, planning and consultation within the local area particularly around proposed new traffic schemes, and any considerations must be balanced with borough-wide priorities. This report is now closed on FixMyStreet and our Traffic Management Team will consider this matter.State changed to: Internal referral
