  • Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. The footways around schools, train stations and shopping centres are only gritted by the Council in a snow event and not when the footways are frosty. Please feel free to use the salt provided in the two salt boxes which are located at the junction with Challock Close/ Norheads Lane and at the junction at Oaklands Lane/ Norheads Lane using your own shovel.
