Crane blocking entire entrance to oneway road
Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 12:07, Tuesday 18 January 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later
The crane has blocked the entire entrance to Birkbeck road (which is a one way road, so there is no access at all now) for roughly 3 hours at 12pm, and continues to be there. I have had no prior warning about this, and am now stuck having to park my car away from my house, even though i will repeatedly need it today for my work.

The police say this is a council issue and that the council would be responsible for issuing a permit.

This means the council must have issued a permit or the road is blocked illegally, this problem should not be marked as closed until this is confirmed

This report has been referred to our Traffic Management Team who are responsible for the way traffic is managed on Bromley's roads; including, but not limited to, implementing new road markings and signage in relation to road safety and parking; walking and cycling improvements, including identifying locations for new cycle racks and installing Vehicle Activated speed signs - however, please note that responsibility for enforcing speed limits rests with the Police.
Where requests are made for changes, our Traffic Management Team will consider all requests but often there is a need for a full investigation, planning and consultation within the local area particularly around proposed new traffic schemes, and any considerations must be balanced with borough-wide priorities. This report is now closed on FixMyStreet and our Traffic Management Team will consider this matter.State changed to: Internal referral
