Pot holes on the unadapted area of Kelsey Lane

Reported via mobile in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 16:39, Tuesday 18 January 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

These pot holes are getting worse & worse. I fear for my car suspension and exhaust system. I only live a few houses down Kelsey Lane however it is a total bone shaker driving along here. It’s also dangers at night. Is there any chance that these could be filled in please? Thanks

  • The maintenance and repair of unadopted roads is the responsibility of the ‘frontagers’ or owners of the properties ‘fronting’, i.e. adjoining, them - the report originator should see The Highways Act 1980 and the deeds of nearby properties for details.

  • This small section of the road, is therefore 'adopted' I'm sorry. (the council have only within the last few days filled pot holes at the other end of Kelsey Lane),

    Many thanks

  • Presumably the council will be aware of whether it is unadopted or not.

  • This section of road is 'unadopted'. It has been maintained by the council from time to time. The pot holes are really bad, please can some work be carried out before some damage occurs to my car or my person!
