  • Tue 01 Feb: Section of rail missing by Farnborough Hill junction with Sevenoaks Road. Please consider a review of entire enclosure of The Green so that local residents can access the green space with ease again without having to climb over the barrier. There was a notable lack of engagement with local community prior to installation. Given growing list of repairs/repainting due suggest it's a good opportunity to reach out to users of the space and correct past mistakes. Thanks in anticipation.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. We can confirm that the Council's Highway contractor will be replacing the section of railing which is missing, with regards to the additional access points this has been passed to the team who originally requested the works and will be able to provide an update shortly.

  • Thank you for your report. there are a number of access points along the post and rail to access the green. We will not be putting in any other points as this was not agreed by ward member's during the consultation period. No further action will be taken now the post and rail has been mended.

  • To correct the record with regard to the anti-resident/anti-traveller enclosure of The Green, ward councillors did not consult with local residents, only the village society committee (currently suspended) which does not represent the majority of residents who visit and live around most of the common, see map - https://gsgassociation.weebly.com/ green-street-green-area.html
