Road not salted at all, regular black ice

Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 19:18, Sunday 23 January 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

This road is extremely dangerous in this cold weather as it is not being salted. I have fallen twice trying to cross the street and cars have been sliding from top to bottom of the hill.

  • Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. Grand View Avenue is not on our priority or secondary gritting schedule. Only when snow has occurred in the Biggin Hill area, does this trigger our tertiary schedule and then Grand View Avenue will be gritted. Please view our website for further clarification on the location of routes and our 'Snow Friends' scheme, also please feel free to use the four Bromley Council salt bins, two of which are located in Grand View Avenue about half way up. Kind regards, JPR - 25/01/2022
