It is a huge danger to the homes nearby with high winds and storms and it has got out of control and action needs to be taken please asap. It is outside number 69 Lynwood Grove, BR6 0BQ. Hi. Do hope all is OK. Not heard back on this since my last statement, as this has now been 7+ weeks since stated contractor will be doing the work on this tree, and nothing yet has been, so please can you state when this will occur? Many thanks again

Hi. This has still not been done. This dangerous over hanging tree outside number 69 has been ignored for 6 months now after numerous updates saying in progress. This tree needs to be cut back hugely from the danger it poses to the road and residents and the falling branches in the past winter. When is this going to be done? Why is it being ignored! Thank you.

Hi. Thank you for the update from this that was reported February, 7 months ago. When this gets done later this week, can you please ensure you/ your contractors cut back this tree a great deal as stated past months on this and photos as it needs to be taken back a massive amount due to the size and danger. Many thanks

Hi yet again. Yesterday between 11am-12 the tree had a couple of branches cut from it. That is it! We as residents are beyond angry, astonished and fed up with this matter. It has been 7 months since reported and now for the team to turn up yesterday and instead of cutting back this huge dangerous over large tree on the road correctly, to only have a couple of branches cut and they think the job is done is outrageous. Can you please escalate this and update us on when they will return as matter of urgency to do the job correctly and cut this tree back as should be as per all emails, phone calls and updates on this past 7 months. Please see photos taken today of the difference (none) from pathetic work done yesterday. Await your kind reply. Many thanks

In reply to the above comment, no, the appropriate action has not been taken. Chopping a few branches on this does not make this resolved. This is ridiculous. After 7 months of waiting for this tree to be cut back a lot due to the huge size, overhanging, danger and falling branches in the winter, this issue is not resolved and this needs to be action asap.

Thank you for your comments. The contractor has been instructed to complete the works specified for the tree. Please note that as outlined in our Tree Management Strategy (https://www.bromley.gov.uk/ downloads/ file/ 3334/ tree_management_strategy_2016-2020) the Council will not prune trees in relation to the following:
• Branches overhanging properties - residents have the right to exorcise their right under Common Law to prune back branches to their property boundary;
• Where a tree is thought be overly large;
