The tree outside my house requires pruning.

Reported via desktop in the Public Trees category anonymously at 13:32, Friday 1 April 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The tree in question grows prolifically durring the spring and summer months to the extent that it restricts access to residents due to low hanging branches. Last year and the year before I was forced to take action by raising a ladder and cutting the tree back so that neighbours could safely pass. For safety reasons could I ask the council to instruct it's contractor to take action. I should not be expected to take action myself which is dangerous nor should my elderly and infirm neighbour be expected to cross the road to negotiate this hazzard. Could I ask the Council to please take action before this again becomes a hazzard. The tree sits outside 24/25 Blandford Avenue. Thank you.

  • The issue which I reported previously has reportedly been resolved but this is not correct. As per the photograph I took today the tree has not been pruned back and it continues to grow. As stated it grows very quickly and shortly it will have restricted access. I would be grateful if you could arrange for the tree to be pruned back or even removed as this is a reoccurring issue.

  • The tree has been inspected post works and requires remedial action which will be undertaken as a priority. Thank you for your patience whilst we work to resolve your issue.
