Pavement Obstructed 53 Park Road BR3 1QG

Reported via desktop in the Road, Pavement and PROW Issues category anonymously at 11:22, Mon 2 May 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3495747.

On Saturday 30 April the builders at 53 Park Road, Beckenham put large diameter pipe across the pavement for over 4.5 hours just expected people to step over it. The pipe connected a large concrete lorry to the house and looks like lorry also leaked fuel or oil straining the road. Not right that builders can just obstruct the pavement which particularly affects older people. Did they have permission to do this?

  • Thank you for using FixMyStreet to report your concerns to Bromley. This was not involving the placement of items on the highway for a prolonged period, it falls outside of normal temporary highway licences, but we expect any such delivery to take adequate measures such as signage and barriers to prevent pedestrians having to step over during the delivery, if any details of the lorry are known we can seek to advise the responsible party of this
