Overflowing bin blocking pavement
Reported via mobile in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 12:50, Fri 6 May 2022
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3506130.
Hi, a bin has been left on the pavement at the Bickley pub end of Lower camden. This bin has rubbish over flowing and it has been here since Wednesday this week and it’s Friday today. This seems to be a regular occurrence at this spot where over flowing bins are left for days on end which then get ripped by birds and animals pushing contents of the bin bags on to the pavement and the street. Please can something be done on a permanent basis so we don’t have to keep reporting every week.

And a solution does need to be found, sooner rather than later, especially, as I’m sure you are aware, in the context of:
22/01273/FULL1 | Subdivision of existing 3-bedroom maisonette into 2x 2-bedroom flats and 1x 1-bedroom studio flat
This “one flat into three flats”, presumably with an increased number of residents, will result in more associated refuse and recycling.....

The owner of this wheeled bin blocking the public highway has been engaged with and the required commercial waste agreements are now in place. The location has been inspected today and the container is no longer causing the obstruction detailed in this report. Kind regards. Senior Neighbourhood Officer - Waste Services. 20/6/22
