  • The team that 'attended' today did not scrape, sweep and clear the leaves. The street looks the same as it did before and I have attached pictures taken today showing just some of the weeds still taking over the pavement. The road edges still have leaf debris. Please ask the contractor to attend again and do a proper job on the whole area. Other roads such as Phoenix Road and St Johns Road also have not been treated. If this is not fixed I will be raising this with my councillors.

  • Good morning. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and providing images to support your complaint. A weed spray application is applied three times a year to all roads and housing footpaths within the Bromley borough. The first weed spray commenced on the 25th of April 2022 and was completed on the 30th May 2022. Lucas Road was sprayed on 03.05.2020 by our service provider. The second weed spray application is due to commence on Monday 4th July. Tree pits will not be sprayed if there is evidence of microhabitats or if a tree is not of a certain age or size. The Environmental manager for this area has been instructed to visit Lucas road today and report back. From the images you have provided I can see that this is new growth. However, arrangements have been made to deploy a manual crew to scrape and pull weeds this coming Saturday 25.06.202.
