30 Kent RD, West Wickham, BR4 0JL Skip on the road and poor parking by builders are causing a dangerous obstruction to traffic and pedestrians.

    Photos attached. Both pavements are obstructed with no signing or guarding for safety. There is a wheelchair user on our street that needs access to the high street.

    Skip is unlit and in a dangerous location in the road. It is also now overflowing with mud. Are you going to sort this before there’s an accident?

  • An officer has attended to inspect whether the skip is obstructing the highway and found that vehicles are able to pass. It is licensed by Bromley Council, however the skip company have been contacted to ensure that lights are fitted to it. Any issue regarding contactors parking on the pavement should be reported to the Council's parking department.

    The skips is STILL unlit. This is a danger. Motorcyclists have been killed hitting skips. The skip is still overflowing mud onto the road and this is extremely dangerous. If you’re too scared to speak with the skip company contact the police to have a word. I’m starting to get rather fed up with your lack of action. I’m getting the impression that as long as you’ve granted a licence i.e. they’ve paid you money, you couldn’t care less about the safety of your residents.

  • An officer again attended the location and found that the skip has now been removed. If any further issues arise at the location please do not hesitate to contact us.
