New gate prevents access for wheelchair or pram access

Reported via desktop in the Public Right of Way footpath category anonymously at 10:03, Wednesday 25 May 2022

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later

The new yellow gate that replaces the concrete blocks that were installed to deter dumping in the country end of Star Lane (adjoining Hockenden and Sheepcote junction) does not allow for public access to the lane for wheelchair, pram/buggy users or cyclists. It's also difficult for normal pedestrians to pass the gate as spiky undergrowth blocks the small gaps either side of the gate. I had to climb over the gate to proceed.
